Welcome to the 2025-2026 School Year
Get ready for the new year with these key dates and times, school supply lists, and other information.
First Day of Classes
The first day of classes will be Tuesday, September 2, 2025. The school office will be open to parents on Wednesday, August 27, 2025.
Prior to the first day of school, teachers will connect with families via SchoolMessenger with a welcome letter to introduce themselves and welcome their new students*. The letter will include a photograph of your student's teacher.
As well, we will be hosting an Informal Open House on Friday, August 29, 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM. The purpose of the Open House is for students and their family to meet the teacher, see the classroom, meet some classmates, and hopefully reduce some of the nervous feelings students have on the first day of school.
On Tuesday, September 2, 2025 teachers will be outside, close to their grade level door, holding a large sign with their name (and class name) so that students can gather close to their teacher. Please bring your students to school between 9:00 AM and 9:05 AM. Since it is the first day of school, things may take a little bit longer to organize. The goal is to enter the school when the final bell rings at 9:10 AM, at this time teachers and students will move to their classrooms and wave good-bye to family members who will remain outside. Administration and specialist teachers will be available to assist parents/students who cannot find their teacher. In the event of inclement weather everyone will meet in the gym.
* Please Note | Due to the dynamics in the classroom and the school, there may be the need to make a few adjustments to class once school has started. Changes may occur to ensure that all classes within a grade level are balanced based on the dynamics within the grade level and each class room.

- All students will need to have a labeled backpack, a labeled lunch bag with a lunch and a healthy snack. Students will need a labeled pair of black indoor shoes (only one pair of shoes are needed, ones that are appropriate for physical activity in the gym and are all black).
- Students DO NOT need two pairs of shoes. All TLC clothing items must be labeled. All the other supplies will be supplied at school.
