Welcome to the 2026-2027 School Year

Get ready for the new year with these key dates and times, school supply lists, and other information.

First Day of Classes

The first day of classes will be Monday, August 31, 2026. The school office will be open to parents on Wednesday, August 26, 2026.

Prior to the first day of school, teachers will connect with families via SchoolMessenger with a welcome letter to introduce themselves and welcome their new students*. The letter will include a photograph of your child or student's teacher.

As well, will be hosting an Informal Open House on either Thursday, August 27, 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM. The purpose of the Open House is for students and their family to meet the teacher, see the classroom, meet some classmates, and hopefully reduce some of the nervous feelings students have on the first day of school.

On Monday, August 31, 2026 children and students will enter through their grade level door and move to their classrooms. Teachers will be supporting students in moving to their classroom. Please bring your children and students to school between 9:00 AM and 9:05 AM as that is when we will have staff members holding the grade level door open. Children and students will enter the building on their own (without their parents), staff members will support students in finding their classrooms if they are having difficulty. The goal is to have all students in the school and classroom when the final bell rings at 9:10 AM. If you arrive and the grade level doors are closed, please go to the main door (the door that is closest to the garden), and press the button to the right of the door. Someone will ask your child and/or student to enter the school and come to the office. School staff will support this movement as well.

Administration and specialist teachers will first be supporting bus students in getting to their grade level door, additional staff will be availableinside the school to assist children and students who cannot find their classroom. There will be many staff members inside the school supporting children and students.

* Please Note | Due to the dynamics in the classroom and the school, there may be the need to make adjustments to class lists after school has started. Changes may occur to ensure that all classes within a grade level are balanced based on the dynamics within the grade level and each classroom. Please be aware that your child and/or student may be moved to a different classroom with a different teacher to ensure classes are balanced.
