Health & Wellness at the CBE

At the CBE, we believe in a whole school approach to health and wellness. We call this our Comprehensive School Health (CSH) approach. CSH is about healthy eating, active living, supportive social environments and positive mental health. As a system, we focus on the following four areas: healthy eating; healthy relationships; physical activity; and positive mental health. Each school creates its own approach and goals for health and wellness.

Nutrition, Lunch, and Snacks

Students are encouraged to bring only healthy snacks and lunches to school, in accordance with CBE Administrative Regulation 3047 - Nutrition.  They are encouraged to have a water bottle for snack time and sipping on throughout the day to hydrate – we request that you do not send juice boxes or milk containers for snack time as they often spill and ruin classroom work.

Birthdays and Treat Bags

Candies, cupcakes and edible treats are NOT ALLOWED to be distributed by students within the school. Neither are any toy weapons. If you would like to provide a birthday treat for your students classmates, or a treat bag for any other reason, please ensure that they contains items such as pencils, erasers, stickers.
