It is a tradition at Colonel Sanders School to give back to our local community by taking part in the Mayor's Food Drive.
This year the name of the Colonel Sanders food drive is: Soup-er Suds, Cereal, and Spreads Challenge. We will be collecting items between December 2 to December 13.
Classes will be taking note of the number of soups, shampoo/conditioners/hand soap, cereal, and peanut butter/nut spreads-items that are brought in each day.
The Food Bank requests that items are in plastic containers (no glass jars).
The class, within each grade level, with the most number of donations (from the list above) will be able to pick a non-uniform day during the week of December 16, 2024. This means that grade 1, 2, 3, and 4 students will each take part in a specific non-uniform day. More information to come for these special days!
We would like to thank Mrs. Leslie for connecting with the city, as well as organizing this event this year as well as all prior years!
As a reminder, it is a tradition at Colonel Sanders School to give back to our local community, which is why we are participating in this event.
