Mayor’s Food Drive

It is a tradition at Colonel Sanders School to give back to our local community by taking part in the Mayor's Food Drive

This year the name of the Colonel Sanders food drive is: Soup-er Suds, Cereal, and Spreads Challenge.  We will be collecting items between December 2 to December 13

Classes will be taking note of the number of soups, shampoo/conditioners/hand soap, cereal, and peanut butter/nut spreads-items that are brought in each day.

The Food Bank requests that items are in plastic containers (no glass jars).

The class, within each grade level, with the most number of donations (from the list above) will be able to pick a non-uniform day during the week of December 16, 2024. This means that grade 1, 2, 3, and 4 students will each take part in a specific non-uniform day. More information to come for these special days!

We would like to thank Mrs. Leslie for connecting with the city, as well as organizing this event this year as well as all prior years!

As a reminder, it is a tradition at Colonel Sanders School to give back to our local community, which is why we are participating in this event.

Elev8 Lacrosse

Our school received two free days from Elev8 Lacrosse, which is a 35 minute lacrosse class for each classroom!

Your student should have brought home an Acknowledgement of Risk Form for an Elev8 Lacrosse class which will be hosted in our school's gymnasium. For more information about Elev8 Lacrosse please view the website https://elev8lacrosse.com/classroom-lacrosse.

Please complete the Acknowledgement of Risk Form and return it to your student's homeroom teacher. Students who do not have a signed Acknowledgement of Risk Form will not be able to participate.

We thank Elev8 Lacrosse for this free experience for all our students!
