Each year Colonel Sanders School participates in a Calgary community event - The Mayor's Food Drive.

In true community spirit, Colonel Sanders is provided items to the Food Bank which will enable many Calgarians the items they require. This includes the youngest of Calgarians with the many donations of diapers and  baby formula. 

The Food Bank let us know that in December 2025, 2,125 pounds of food was donated as well as $969.15.
