- Students need to have all their winter clothing at school ready to go outside for recess breaks

- Students who are not prepared for the weather will be cold when outside during the recess breaks
- Students will not go outside if it is colder than -20C including the windchill; this is monitored throughout the day
- ex: students may not go outside for lunch recess because it is colder than -20C including the windchill, yet by afternoon recess the weather may have improved, and students will go outside for afternoon recess
- If it is colder than -20C including the windchill, a recess break will occur in the classroom; each classroom has various games for student use
Reminders - Attendance
- If your student will not be coming to school, please leave a message on the School's Attendance Line
- Name - first and last
- Class Code (ex: 1T)
- Reason for absence
- State if your student takes the bus
- If the Attendance Line is full, please call back to leave a message with a person
- At times, parents have been emailing in their attendance; if the person you emailed is at work on this day we do receive the email, but if the person is absent, we will likely not receive the email
- If you have emailed, then receive a call about your student's absence this is because the person you emailed is not at work that day and the message was not received by the school
- If your student will be absent for an appointment on a future date, a message in the agenda could also be written prior to the date of the appointment
Reminders - Busing
- Do not leave your student at the bus stop alone
- Ensure that your student has their winter clothing because if there is an issue with the bus, the bus could get cold

- If there are any concerns on the bus, please contact the bus company or the school
- Student get very excited when their bus arrives at their stop in the morning, please ensure that your student waits their turn to board the bus
