Report Cards – Available February 24
On Tuesday, February 24, 2026, families will be able to view their student’s first report card for the 2025–2026 school year through their MyCBE account. Please ensure that you view the report cards prior to the February 26 and 27 Learning Conferences.
Please ensure that you read through the comments carefully as the they support the understanding of the Proficiency Levels (numerical indicators) that were selected that best describes your student's understanding within each subject area.
Grade 3 and 4 students will have comments from the Music and French teachers. Grade 1 and 2 students will have comments within the June Report Cards. All students will have Proficiency Level (numerical indicators) for Music and French within both Report Cards.
For students who are English as an Additional Language (EAL) Learners. You will see that there is an initial (E1) assessment as well as strategies that the teacher selected to use during the first semester of your student's learning. Then there are also additional (Y1) strategies, these strategies indicate what the teacher will be using for the second half of the school year. Some EAL Learners, will also have an EAL instead of a numerical indicator. This indicates that the student's language development is impacting their ability within that specific subject area. Teachers have written comments to support families in understanding what their student is able to do within that subject area, as well as their next steps in learning.
We look forward to seeing all families during the February Learning Conferences on February 26 and 27.

Welcoming, Caring, Respectful, and Safe Learning and Work Environments
The Calgary Board of Education (CBE) has Administrative Regulations which guide our work in schools. Administrative Regulation 6031- Welcoming, Caring, Respectful and Safe Learning and Work Environments - outlines "the roles and expectations related to meeting CBE’s responsibility to provide students and staff with a welcoming, caring, respectful and safe learning and work environment that respects diversity and fosters a sense of belonging for all members."
As parents/guardians it is important that you understand your role in maintaining a Welcoming, Caring, Respectful and Safe Learning and Work Environment. Please read AR 6031.
A Traditional Learning Centre (TLC) is alternative program within CBE, one of the areas of focus for our program is character education. Teachers and family members model character through their actions, language, and behaviours. As a TLC, it is important that we model how to work through areas of challenge, how to greet people each day, how to engage with others who have views that may be different to our own. This modelling shows our students how to work through these situations.
