Book Fair - March 18-20
We are excited to announce that the Scholastic Book Fair will be coming to Colonel Sanders from Tuesday, March 18 to Thursday, March 20! This fair will be run completely by School Council volunteers.
How It Works
Students will have the opportunity to purchase books during their library class time. On Monday, March 17, a preview flyer will be sent home so that students and parents can look over the selection and decide which books they may want to buy. All proceeds from the Book Fair go directly to the school, supporting the purchase of new books and the replacement of worn-out ones for our library.
How to Buy
- Students can bring up to $25 to purchase a book or accessory. Please send this with your child on their designated library day.
- Grade 1 and 2 parents are invited to shop on Tuesday, March 18 from 3:00 - 3:30 PM.
- Grade 3 and 4 parents are invited to shop on Wednesday, March 19 from 3:00 - 3:30 PM.
(If you have children in both grades, you can choose either day.)
Important Reminders
- Parents are not permitted to take their children home early just because they are attending the Book Fair. Students must remain in school until the regular dismissal time of 3:38 PM.
- Parents cannot take their children out of class during the school day to purchase books.
- Please refrain from going down the hallways or into classrooms. Instead, pick up your child in the compound area outside.
- If you need to change your child’s end-of-day pick-up routine (e.g., not taking the bus), please notify the school prior to the day you plan to visit the Book Fair.
